I don't have data plan and I depend on Wifi at home and at other places whereever it is offerred for free. Recently I got a message (while I was using wifi connection) that my mobile got infected with virus and I must download virus removal softwares from google play store. I was panicked I did what was instructed. I downloaded a software Faster Clean and ran the software, but still I am frequently receiving warnings that my phone is affected with virus and constantly prompted to download more softwares and run the same. I did so, yet; the getup of my phone has changed and my phone is malfunctioning. I need help.

Hello Siv,

When you clicked that message (that was fake) it got your mobile infected. I'd try installing MB for Android to remove the virus (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malwarebytes.antimalware&hl=fr_CA)

Eset makes another excellent A/V for PC and mobile, although I haven't used one in years.

As a last resort, you could always factory reset the phone, that should clear out any virus.

@ Siv, may I suggest for the future you never click on anything that suggests you have a virus on the phone. It's a scam 9.9 times out of 10.
