Call up Koodo and ask them to do a Transfer of Responsibility. You'll give them authorization to release the account. Then your daughter can call in either during the same call (that way it's done in one shot) or she can wait up to 5 business days. She'll need 2 pieces of ID ready (preferred IDs are Driver's License and Canadian Credit card but there are others that can be used) to perform a credit check and see if she's eligible.

I think there's a $25 fee, but I'm not 100% sure. If there is, it will show on her "first" bill.

Was it a koodo phone that your friend gave you? and do you have a koodo account already?

The reason that I ask is that it sounds like you are just planning on putting the phone on your already existing account. All you would have to do is put in the right size SIM card in the phone and then turn it off and back on. (If it is a different size SIM card then the one that you have you would have to register it on your account - can be done through your self serve account or through customer service).

If you were planning on taking over the line from your friend then Robert is correct.
