my apple iphone wont charge . the battery ran down to nothing now it wont charge it just buzzes every 6 seconds for a second.

the battery when it was working this week showed full charge but unfortunately I let the phone battery drain until the phone shut down. i plugged it in to charge and it buzzes every 6 seconds for about a second and that is it. no other sounds or pictures on screen of battery being charged,

if its under 1 year (or google Apple warranty check) and punch in your serial number to confirm, Apple store would happily replace it for you

its an older phone so no warranty left

Letting the battery drain shouldn't cause this kind of problem. Have you tried another charger? Are you still under waranty? Is so, you should take an appointment with the neareast Apple store so they can exchange the phone.

I think the vibrating is when the phone is connected to the power source. Which means when it is buzzing every 6 seconds, it means it has lost power connection and when it reconnects it buzzes.

Have you tried a different charger/cable?

What if you hold the cable into the phone to make sure it is truly connecting.
