Moving my not longer offered plan to another prov

Moving to Alberta from BC - besides switching to a new AB number - will I be able to keep my "no longer offered plan" ? My $25 plan is no longer offered. Anyone try this before? I'm worried they will nix it and blame the move.

I'm shocked looking at the new plans now. I thought Canadian plans would get better over time, not worse. Sheesh. Thanks!

If it was not a province specific plan, then I see no issue with it

different questions - first about the number - second about the plan

Your plan has to mesh with the area code of your phone. You can keep your BC plan if you are willing to put up with using a BC number in AB.

Putting the cart before the horse from your other discussion, you might consider getting an AB VoIP or virtual number and having your local calls forwarded temporarily to your BC cell number for a few bucks a month. Would maintain continuity with Vancouver callers while being local in AB.

In the long run, however, I think that arrangement will eventually crash and burn for a number of reasons.

Is it possible to ask this of Koodo without switching the phone number right now (my move is in sept) or without getting a customer satisfaction fee of $10? haha
