moved from Nova Scotia to Ontario want to change the service provider do i need to change the number or i can port the existing number.

Just remember, if you port your NS number, all your new contacts in Ontario would have to call long distance to reach you.

i believe now people have Canada wide free calling with the provider. dnt want to loose the number have to change at many places.

Not everyone does! For example, Koodo's prepaid base plans are all provincial calling.

And just about anyone with a landline would have to buy a LD plan, or pay per use.
