Motorola Moto G - Android 5.0.2 ...can't modify or delete contacts

There is no edit icon at the top of the contacts page. This all happened after the phone died from a dead battery. It also lost all my contacts.

Losing all your contacts is a bit strange. If they're synced with your Google account then they should show up again.

As for editing/deleting, you need to select an individual contact and then the edit button will be at the top. It will look like a pen in a box.

Yes I didn't realize you had to first select a contact, then the edit icon appears. My bad.

But that still doesn't explain where my original contact list went to when the battery died. Android bug ?
