Moto Z Play pulled?

Moto Z Play no longer available on Koodo, or any Canadian WSP?

I went to Lenovorola's Moto Z Play webpage, and they give a dropdown to get the phone from rogers, Télus or Koodo. When I go to each carrier link, none of them seem to carry the phone.

Does that mean carriers have depleted their stock? Does that mean the device didn't sell well enough? Does that mean that Canadians don't love Lenovorola enough?

Koodo shows Moto Z still available, but still online only.

Why not offer Moto Z Play, but make it online only if sales drop?

It sold very well so I'm guessing stock has depleted and instead of making more they are releasing the 2017 version soon from reports such as this which state the Moto Z 2 and as they were released along side eachother the Play as well.

@Paul thank you for the quick reply. I'm glad the Moto Z Play was a hit. I've only seen two ppl in town aside myself who got their Moto Z Play's from Koodo (one of them was a Koodo kiosk rep). With the smashing promo's, I would have thought that Koodo would stock more, and more ppl would take 'em.

I guess not enough ppl know to jump on a $300+ activation credit when Koodo offers it?!

Here's a look at the Moto Z 2 that just got leaked today with dual cameras and much better fingerprint sensor the most stand out changes...I'm sure the play version will be very similar

@Paul: I see direct link http://www.droid-life.com/2017/04/12/moto-z2-leak-pictures-release-date/

Direct link is much easier to browse for those of us who don't use facebook.

A dual rear camera would be awesome, would allow smartphone users to easily create 3D/VR video.

Hopefully Koodo and all carriers will get more Motorola stock. Carriers seem to overstock on Samsungs and Apples, yet sell out too quickly on Motorola's. Maybe this is the push the carriers need to put more Motorola's on deck.

I'd love to see 3rd party retailers such as The Mobile Shop, Walmart (OSL), BestBuy and Wow Mobile carry the higher end Moto phones on Koodo.

Just a note while on the subject of FB, if you become a Mobile Master in the future you will need a FB account as that's where we converse as a group.
I personally hate FB but that's where everyone is from friends to family to Mobile Masters ect so kind of stuck using it lol.

@Paul thank you for the insight, and for considering me a prospect for Mobile Mastery. This also makes sense and explains why Mobile Masters never post questions on the forum (because they can answer eachother's questions on facebook).

I'll cross that bridge if and when.

On a side note, for anyone still interested in the Moto Z Play, it's available at Costco, carrier-unlocked.
