Moto G won't start

moto g won't charge. It's less than 1 year old with no damage. I've tried holding the volume down and power button for 2 minutes but doesn't work. The battery had discharged until the phone stopped working. I've read there may be an issue with these batteries recharging if they are discharged. Would this be covered under the warranty of the phone?

Your warranty is for 1 year, including battery, from whoever sold it to you.

As long as you have proof of purchase.

This has happened to me recently.

Have you just tried to charge it for many hours in a row?

Then with it plugged in, i held the power button only for 2+ mins and it sprung back to life
