I recently got a moto G 4G from motorola but it's locked. I'm assuming its locked to Rogers/Fido as they are the only ones who carry it. Anyone know how to unlock it?

Hi Matthew,

If you bring the phone to a Koodo kiosk and purchase a sim card, Koodo will unlock the phone for you. A couple weeks ago Koodo was offering to unlock phones for free when signing up with a new account, so if you want to take advantage of that (as long as it's still available) as well as a 10% discount off your monthly bill you can go to a kiosk and go from there.

Hope that helps answer your question :)

Hi Mike,

Was there anything in particular you wanted to do with the Moto G? You can certainly ask any question or concern you have. Just fire away :)

Well on the Moto G you'd have the option of using either Messages or Hangouts as a texting application.

So in order to group text you can add each contact into the 'To:' field and that will allow you to send a text to a group of people at once and not just one person, this is in the messages app.

In Hangouts it's essentially the same thing, you click on the '+' symbol in the upper right hand corner and you can add a person to the conversation, after that it gives you the option of adding an additional person to the conversation which automatically changes it to a group message.

Hope that helps :)
