We are interested in getting the International Data, minutes and text package but feel that 50MB if Data may not be enough. Can we get more somehow?

Best to unlock your phone, and get a local SIM in NZ. You'll be well ahead of the game.

Travelling to NZ in 2018 and wondering if this is still the best option - to get a local SIM card when we arrive. Also wondering if we will have access to the contacts on the current phone?

Hi there!

If you are travelling all the info is here:

If you want to use a local SIM CARD it will be less expensive for sure, but you will not have access to your Canadian number.

If you have your contacts stored in the phone's internal memory, then yes, you will have access to them!

Your contacts will not disappear even if they're not saved to the phone. If using a cloud service (i.e. Google, Outlook), they'll have already been downloaded to your device and would disappear only if you reset the phone without syncing any new contacts.

Thanks. Think the $10 per day and maximum $100 per billing period is a good option.
