Moto g, Halifax, NS. I will be in the middle of a texting conversation and won't receive one of the texts. or they will text me something not part of a conversation and I won't get it. this happens with local friends.everything is turned on. I have a moto G so there is no battery to take out.the times I've known this to happen, it has been with people who have iPhones, and one with a blackberry. why is this happening?it seems to happen very randomly. But because I'm not receiving them, it might be happening all the time, I have no idea.

Hey Moto G user & Thomas,

You’ll need to make sure that you have the correct SMS center on your phone. Go to the text message icon on your phone, press menu then settings and in the SMS center enter 1-647-580-0172.The iPhone user needs to make sure that the messages they send to you are text messages and not iMessage as that could be a reason. Hope this helps.

Hi there,

What have you tried in regards to troubleshooting? I'd recommend trying the following:

1. Power the phone down, press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds, and it should shut off completely.

2. Remove the back cover (pry point is at the bottom of the phone where the charger goes), the back cover is hard to get off, but it won't break so don't worry, then remove your sim card for 30 seconds to a minute.

3. After doing this put the sim card back in, power the phone on, and try it again for a little while, if you're still getting the issue then you may have to contact tech support.

Hope that helps
