Why does the website link the $100 gift to all phones? this is really misleading... I went to activate an iPhone 4s last night thinking I'd be getting the gift and the people at the store had no idea what I was talking about. They completely disassociated themselves from the Koodo website. This is really misleading and angered me as a new customer!!

Can you give us some more details, Jays? In what store did you buy the phone for example?

I don't see the gift card promo for the iPhone on the Koodo website.

Usually retailers will have equivalent gift cards to what Koodo has noted or better. They are never worse

I believe the o.p. is referring to the fact that when you click the banner which says "100.00 bonus on selected smartphones" it brings you to the full list of available phones. I don't consider it misleading, but then again I tend to read the details of offers rather than assuming they apply.

Timo is correct. If you're going to link the banner, you should link it to what the special applies to.

I went to a Koodo store, a Best Buy, and a Future Shop

I tried to get additional info, but when you click on learn more it takes you to every phone. So I made an assumption. Wish I was as enlightened as Timo.

Looking at the descriptions of the phones on the page shows that the HTC Desire, Samsung Galaxy Ace II, Samsung Galaxy SIII and Samsung Galaxy S4 mini all have bonus offers attached. Took me about 30 seconds to determine that by reading the page in question. Didn't even need to visit a store.

Thanks champ. My point is they have customers from all walks of life with different levels of comfort with technology, and in my opinion it's misleading. Your input's been great, but I'd like to hear what an actual Koodo rep has to say.

Jays On Jays, Timo is an actual Koodo rep (Tech Support if I recall correctly).

Lol, pretty rude for an actual rep. Alright well I'll move on, this isn't worth getting into.

When you actually click on the link about "selected smartphones", it does take you to a page with the phones - Jays on Jays is partially right, but so is Timo

if you are not reading about the details of the promo then it appears that all phones are included

BUT...

On the first page it says that bonus gift will vary depending on value of phone

and then the next page

there are highlighted sections that say things like
"•Free $50 bonus gift when you buy at participating Koodo Shops or Retail partner locations. Only available with new activations on the Tab. Bonus gift will be mailed 6-8 weeks after activation if account is in good standing. While quantities last."

This is the information that I got from the samsung Galaxy S4 mini

And so you know, I also do tech support, but keep in mind that this forum is about customers helping customers - we are doing this on our own time to see if we can help, if you see a comment made by somebody with (employee) beside his/her name, that is one of the people that is paid to keep an eye on various koodo sites
