Mislead by Koodo staff

Recently I upgraded my phone to the Nexus 5. The process to do so was rather arduous. I was offered a trade in deal from Koodo and when I arrived at the Erin Mills location to trade in, the staff had a great deal of difficulty processing the request. I was told after the fact that I was not given the proper trade in value for the phone. I then went to Dixie mall booth looking for accessories. I mentioned that I was interested in the ear buds, but was concerned that they may not stay in my ears. The lady working assured me this wasn't a problem as I could bring them back and exchange them for another accessory if that was the case. So yesterday, when I returned to the Dixie store to do just that I was informed that there is a NO RETUEN policy on all ear buds. So know I am stuck with brand new ear buds that can't be used by me and a feeling of disappointment from a company that in the past I have been very happy with.

That's too bad, maybe the person was new, who knows. Call and speak to the manager

Didn't the ear buds come with extra ear plug pieces to make them fit in any and every ear?

Go to the location and explain to the manager, Koodo shops are usually pretty good at making sure you are happy

Earbuds, like swim suits and underwear, are often not returnable for sanitary reasons.

I get that, which is why I questioned it. And told the girl I had reservations about getting them, but she assured me it wouldn't be an issue.

Would you feel happy getting another set of earbuds that fit perfectly that were a return from another customer?

Many folks on this forum would rather hear about your problem upgrading the phone itself ("arduous", but no explanation) rather than focusing on what is essentially a dollar-store item.

Returned items go back to the manufacturer (except for some Pre-owned phones that they sell to make more money). So, nobody is getting used stuff. Who cares about what she would feel if she got used earbuds? The store said it CAN be returned, that's all that matters. And how do you know the earbuds she bought are cheap?

I wouldn't consider $40 ear buds a dollar store item. And the point isn't the product but the fact the staff have now cost me $40 because they gave me the wrong information.

That was exactly my point, if that was their policy, I should not have been told differently.
