I'm fairly new with Koodoo. The experience has been okay thus far. Netural.
But Fido is now offering a 4GB plan for $40.

Would Koodoo match that at all?

To answer your question of Koodo is going to match it, I'm pretty sure they won't. Fido responded to Public Mobile's 4GB plan - same amount of data, same province wide calling. There are a few differences. With Fido you get phone support, with Public Mobile you get a $2 discount if you auto renew, Fido is a monthly plan, PM a 90 day plan. With Fido I believe you can roam everwhere, PM will only allow US roaming. I'm sure there are more differences but those are the ones I can think of right now. I think it's great that there is finally some real competition again, with either provider the 4GB is a pretty awesome deal!

It's only 9 dollars more for 4GB and nationwide calling in QC with Koodo.

Sure is, but it's not 35 dollars which is the price difference outside of QC for the regularly priced 4gb option. And that's with the bonus 1gb data promo. :P

Funny, as nobody in Ontario would complain if the $49 4 GB plan was offered here.

Koodo will not typically offer much (if anything) in terms of retention pricing.

I've already dumped Koodo for Public Mobile...

Public Mobile offers better prices at the expense of support and physical locations. If you're comfortable with that, then it's the best choice for you. Both Koodo and PM are owned by TELUS.
