Android Device Manager. The app would have to be installed and location access enabled on your phone. In an area without service, the app cannot track your device. If the app was installed/enabled, it may provide you with the phones' last known location.

Note: Android Device Manager won't work for devices that are turned off or that don't have a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection.

You can also try Google locations website which can track the phone up until it lost reception which might help you or not
