Does anybody here have an Android smart phone that would know of an app to make free calls to the STATES except Magic Jack because I can't remember my log information to Magic Jack so I can't use it.

Try Dell (Fongo), Zoomer though that is not 100% free I think. Otherwise try if you can get a Google Voice number and then use a VOIP app to make your calls :)

Fongo is free for Canada. US calling requires a balance and costs $.02/minute.

Skype2go, though not free, is low cost 2.99$ a month for up to 30 numbers unlimited. There is also no commitment. And no credit check. 2.99 covers 30 days

It converts your long distance numbers to local numbers so you can call them using your cell minutes. The subscription also includes wifi calling (though the call quality isn't as good over wifi)

Check it out. I use it to call my family in Florida

The wife uses it to call me in the states

My mother in law uses it to call her grand daughter from her landlines as a local call
And her friend in Massachusetts.

I don't believe there is an app is existence that will allow you to call US Landline and Mobile numbers for free. You must pay for services like that.

Otherwise, tell the person to download the app on their phone (Skype, Viber, whatever you want to use) and then you can make free calls between each other.
