If someone from the UK calls me here in Canada, would I be charged international fees or long distance charges?

Absolutely not. As long as your phone is in Canada, you can receive a call from anywhere in the world
What plan do you have?

I have just 150 minutes Canada and nothing with long distance or anything to do with international calling. I just have a friend who is planning on calling me but I want to make sure before I get the call that I won't get a nasty looking bill at the end of the month.

So I won't get charged anything but the person in the UK will because they're calling me I'm not calling them?

That's pretty awesome that I won't get charged anything but local time meanwhile they get charged longdistance! Wow! Thank-you for the help :)
