I need a long distance plan for my wireless home phone since mine was cancelled with switch over and I was not informed this would happen. I need to be able to call Dominican Republic and I am not willing to pay .50 a min. Crazy!!!

Unfortunately there are no add-ons that will help you lessen the cost that can be paired with the wireless home phone.

You could go with Koodo prepaid, get a $15 plan and a $30 300 long distance add-on. That would translate to $0.15/min. You would need a cell phone though.

It doesn't see koodo has a long distance add-on that carries the Dominican.

I recommend a calling card

There are lots of phone cards available at gas stations and convenience stores that will provide you with better rates and can be used with your wireless home phone. Probably your best choice.

That is a shame as I was paying 30 dollars a month for unlimited calling anywhere. More convenient than having to rush out and get a calling card. I live in the country so calling cards are not a quick run out to the store. I wish I had been told that prior to changing my landline.

Are you suggesting that you asked the sales reps what the rates to the Dominican Republic would be?

No need to put pants on and go out. You can get calling cards online 24/7

Or use something like Skype from your computer or cellphone.

What provider were you with that only charged 30 dollars for unlimited calling anywhere?
