locked out of phone - it says asked for android password and I don't know what that is

my phone just updated and now it is asking me for my android password. I tried my koodo pin and my koodo password but it says wrong password. I am locked out and I need to use my hone!

When you first setup your phone you wouldve been asked to set up a pin code for your phone as a backup in case you forgot your password, fingerprint didnt work, etc.

After so many unsuccessful attempt it should ask you to log into your google account (username and password for your google account) and you should be able to get into your phone that way if you forgot your phone password.

That's only on android 4.4 and older. Which phone do you have? Some companies like Samsung, if you set up a Samsung account, will allow you to remotely unlock from a computer by logging into the site for device management.

If that doesn't work you will have to factory reset your phone to get access.

Android password after updating could be your google account, that you used to sign on that device. If you forgot it, you could go online and try to reset the Google (gmail and other google services..) account.

Have you gotten a solution to this?  My wife and daughter just had their blu life one x2's update and they are locked out.  Google passwords is also not accepted.

Shut off the phone. Press and hold volume up and power button for 5 seconds then let go. It will enter recovery mode. Volume up key will let you navigate to recovery mode. Volume down to select an option. Volume up to confirm.
