I have the Galaxy ace 2x. recently, alot of things has been malfunctioning with it. There's a mark thats spread across the screen, its clear and the touch screen works perfectly.. i dont know what it is. The biggest thing is thart my lock button has completely stopped working. which means i have to wait 15 seconds every time i check my phone for it to go to sleep again, which is eating up my battery like crazy. When my phone dies, i plug it in and let it charge for awhile, but every time i try to push and hold the power button all it does it bring up the battery sign, to signify its charging. i now can't power on my phone.. and this is a huge problem.. so i practically dont have a phone. sorry for the long paragraph guys, but i have no idea what is causing these things to happen. ive dropped my phone a few times, but always in the case. my friend says its water damage, but my phone has never came into contact with water, ever.
Please help, i need my phone!! :(
Thanks to anyone who can help me!!

It maybe best to bring it in a Koodo shop and have the look at it. There should be stickers on the back of the phone when you pull out the battery. One should beicated on the battery. They are white and turn red if water damaged

Try a battery pull which is a turning off the device, taking the battery and sim card out for 30 seconds - 1 minute and then putting it back in and turning it on once again. Also, if it has been less than 1 year, you still have warranty with the device thus you can go to a Koodo store and get it repaired for free. If not, you can get the device repaired for a fee. Fee varies from the amount of damage and other factors.

Loaner phones will vary store by store, and even day by day (as people sign them out/return them). Only person who'll know for sure is a worker at your local store.

Provided there is no physical or water/moisture damage and the device is still under the one year manufacturer's warranty, the Ace 2x will be repaired or replaced at no charge. Dropping the device, even if it's in a protective case, doesn't necessarily prevent internal components from getting damaged.

Click on the link below and scroll to the bottom of the page to see examples of what is not covered by the manufacturers warranty.

If internal/external components are found to have sustained damage, the manufacturer's warranty becomes void. There's a flat fee (according to another poster regarding warranty repair, of $250). The poster mentions that whether the damage is a cracked motherboard or cracked touchscreen, the repair fee remains the same.
