Are you on one of the prepaid extended base plans, Tariq? In that case, it works like this.

If you are in your own local area, incoming calls from anywhere are treated as a local call. Outgoing calls are only LD if you call outside your home zone.

If you are traveling (away from your local area), all calls, incoming and outgoing, are LD and will use your booster minutes.

I always thought that if you are traveling, a local call would consist of a call to the area you're in ie. a Toronto cell phone in Ottawa calling an Ottawa # would be considered local. Or does it depend on the plan? I remember when there were roaming/zone restrictions for local minute plans but I'm not sure how it works on Koodo prepaid.
