Koodo needs to put more LG phones on sale again, I don't think the sales last long enough for people to see or able to save up to purchase; and isn't that the point to get more customers with good sales? I am hoping to see the LG G6 on sale again because on sale it was a steal, as you can see from the images I have added there is a huge increase ☹️

Sales are often at the behest of the manufacturer, not the retailer. LG is more likely responsible for this particular discount.

At this point there really isn't much anyone can do for you. Sales come and go though so just keep your eyes open for when a sale pops up.

All you can do is keep checking. They don't announce sales in advance.

There's no guarantee regarding when a sale/promotion will kick in. However, we have noticed trends...

  1. End of quarter (March, June, August, December) are good for sales/promotions
  2. Back to School and Holiday rush are good for sales/promotions
  3. Phone launches are generally lousy, get the odd sale but won't be that agressive. Phone price generally drops over time.
  4. Sometimes, certain special days (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day) is starting to pick up for cellphone promotions.
  5. Check out 3rd party retailers (Wow Mobile, The Mobile Shop, BestBuy, OSL - Walmart), they often have better promotions than the Koodo stores in order to promote the Koodo brand at a location where most brands under the big three are available.

The G4/G5 are on near perpetual sale to offload them I suppose. The newest versions rarely get lengthy sales. It looks likle it got a promotional sale when it was just launched and that's it.

Agreed with @Goran. Btw, Mother's day usually doesn't leverage much in promo's (maybe an extra discount on a trade-in on a flagship Samsung/Apple at BestBuy).

If you want to be first in line to get an LG flagship, Rogers/Fido generally leverage better deals...Fido had the best trade-in promo on the LG G6 ($400 off by trading in even an Alcatel Pixi which could be acquired for as little as $30, and still wouldn't have to go on their most expensive plan). Virgin retaliated with a similar trade-in promo, cheapest phone would be a Moto G4 Play (retail $150-200) to get the $400 off, and still land on an expensive plan (not as good a deal as Fido had). Koodo just gave $200 off (no trade-in). That trade-in deal is gone.

Koodo certainly leverages amazing promo's when the LG flagships get older and near end of life.

LG G6 will eventually go down to $0 on a tab medium, and then when nearing end of life, potentially $0 on a tab small (with gift card incentives at certain partner retailers).
