LG Optimus Black battery stops charging before complete..?

Plug in phone. Charging indicator in status bar. Battery percentage starts to climb. Charging indicator disappears and battery percentage stops climbing.

Same result with three different cables and three different power sources (LG wall plug, car unit delivering up to 2100 mA, and desktop computer USB).

The attachment from a battery monitoring app shows that the phone thinks the battery is fully charged when it is not.

Does this indicate a faulty battery or faulty phone hardware?

I did a factory reset a few days ago but it had no effect on this issue.

Thank you!

Was it working before? How old is your phone? It could be something wrong with the battery. I would bring it to the nearest koodo shop and ask them if they can send it to repair as well as if it covered by warranty.

Thanks. It sure was working before. Problem started last month. Unfortunately it's just over two years old.

The phone already has an issue where I must occasionally squeeze the phone about 1/3 of the way down from top in order to have the power button recognized. I think I wouldn't want to pay much to repair this phone.

I agree with you. I wouldn't want to pay if your phone is over 2 years and it could cost you a lot. Also if you have more issue with your phone, I guess it time for a new phone ? :)
There are so many good phones to choose from :)
