Hello, I have an LG Nexus 5 which was purchased at a Koodo store about 2 years ago. I would like to use it overseas by inserting a local SIm card. The provider there says that in order for their Sim to work, the phone needs to be unlocked, and also has to be compatible to a GSM network. I called two Koodo stores plus their Customer Service line, but no one could tell me if (a) the Nexus 5 is unlocked or (b) if it is definitely compatible with a GSM network. I think the phone is unlocked and it will work on a GSM network. Strange that no one I spoke with at Koodo could specifically confirm these details for me. Can anyone give me a definite answer for both of these questions? Thanks!
