LG G5 fingerprint sensor not working -  it worked for the first month, then stopped completely.  i have tried erasing the fingerprint info and starting fresh, but it doesn't work - same message - "ENROLLEMENT WAS NOT COMPLETED"

Has anyone else had similar issues and solved it with any success?

Thanks

I've read of one solution where you reboot your phone and immediately try to record a fingerprint. The message gets delayed at startup so if you do it quick enough you can get a fingerprint recorded.

Otherwise it may be best to contact LG. If the phone isnt a year old yet than you can send it in for warranty repair as well.

May as well attempt a factory reset before sending it in because that'll be the first thing LG tech support will do when troubleshooting your phone if you end up having to use the warranty.

So, LG or Koodo doens't just replace your phone with a new one if something is defective in the first few months?  It has to be sent for repair?

You have 15 days from purchase to return the phone. After that it is put through the warranty process. They will always try to fix your problem as many ways as possible before they think about replacing the phone, the exception being if there is a recall or something similar. If your phone was to be replaced, it would first have to be shipped to LG and one of their techs would have to say the phone is unfixable, or easier to just replace.

If you go to a Koodo store they may have a loaner phone that you can use while your phone is out for repair.

There's the 15 day exchange / return policy but beyond that if it's cheaper to repair that's what's going to happen.
