My lg g3 can't receive text from iphone. I can send texts to any phone and can receive from all but iphones. In speaking with a friend who has an iphone, they receive my texts, but when they reply, I can't see it at all - as if it was never sent.

When did you get the LG G3? Did you own an iPhone before your G3?

Hi Ahmad,

I have the same issue - having used an iphone before (and it is still operative with SIM). Is there a way to sign out of imessage? I thought once I reply to my iphone-using-friends from my new phone all would be good, but it isn't.

You need to sign out of Messages on the iPhone. Instructions here.

Basically go to settings and turn off BOTH Messages and FaceTime in their respective settings locations.

I got my phone in November, been having this problem from the start. It hasn't been urgent as I only have 3 contacts that have iphones, but it is getting frustrating as nothing seems to be working.
I have never had an iphone, but I have used imessenger on my mac and ipod.
After doing some research I signed out of imessenger on both apple products and have also asked my iphone user friends to delete my contact info and then re-add me. Nothing seems to be working.

Do messages your iPhone using friends send you arrive to your Mac or iPad? Seems likely they are still connecting to you by Messages. They may also need to turn on the option to send as SMS when Messages unavailable.

You should also confirm the colour of the text bubbles on their phones. If blue, they are still being sent you as Messages, if green, they should be SMS.

No, the messages don't come up on the ipod or mac. I'll have to ask if the bubbles are blue or green
