Leaving Canada for more than 6 months

I've got a monthly plan (without phone) started couple of weeks back. But due to an urgent family affair, i need to leave Canada for 8-12 months. Considering the longer absence period, I do not want to spend 15 CAD / month to reserve my number. Hence after paying all my dues, i want to withdraw my account by first week April, 2018. What would be the procedure? Kindly advise. TIA

You're only option will be to terminate the service by calling 1-866-995-6636. Once you're back you can reconnect but it will be a "new account with a new number".
