*Warning for Koodo customers*
Poor warranty support and customer service.
I purchased a Nexas 5 from Koodo after 7 years of being a Koodo customer. It broke within three days of owning it, while it was in my pocket, with the "protective" case supplied by Koodo. They would not help my out with a repair or warranty and ultimately choose to lose me as a customer than provide support for a faulty product they sold.

This situation cost me $500 for the Nexas 5 phone and I have subsequently switched to Virgin with a Samsung phone. Much better companies.

Hope this helps someone avoid using a poor company like Koodo, LG (makes the Nexas 5) and Google (operating system and name on phone).

Be warned, new Virgin customer: if your new virgin phone breaks in 3 days while in your pocket Virgin will not fix it under warranty either.

How did your phone break in your pocket? If it was the screen or any other physical damage no company will fix that for free.

Some issues here that you should take away...

1. Koodo has only been in existence for 6 years, so saying you were a customer for 7 is wrong.

2. I hope you are aware that Koodo is only the middleman for your warranty. The real fate lies with the manufacturer. Since its physical damage, LG won't repair it. It's unfortunate that you claim it happened in your pocket even with a case but it could have happened by puncturing the screen with pressure by sitting or leaning on something at a weird angle. Usually Nexus 5S aren't that fragile.

3. Google makes Android, the OS. Samsung is a manufacturer of devices. They put Android on their phones and then modify them for their skin so you're still using Android, just a different version. Google doesn't have any say in your warranty unless you bought it from the Play Store.

4. Good luck with Virgin and Samsung. The same warranty applies here so if you break the phone again, you'll be in the same spot.

This is what perplexes me, though: You posted literally nothing positive about Koodo from the 6 years you were with them and this one stain on your history (even though it's not their fault) prompts you to post this warning thread to all customers and claim Virgin/Samsung are much better companies when you literally just joined them... That's not very credible.
