Huh? I can't make heads or tails of your story, Koodo STOLE your phone? How? When? Why? Tell me more.... I'm DYING to know :D

koodo told me to send in my broken phone. my partner did not read that we are supposed to keep the phone back so we wrongly sent the phone with its back on. they sent us a new phone, no back, told us to go to store and buy a new one. but they don't even sell them. whoops.

Ack! Okay that makes your story a bit different... I thought you meant they stole your whole phone back - not your phone's back... do you mean the protective case?
I don't work for Koodo, but hopefully one of the employees can chime in what can be done for you :)

At least your story is clear now, Ron :) I shouldn't tease I know :D

If your just looking to buy a replacement battery cover check ebay, you can find them there for most phones for a couple dollars. Do you mean the battery cover or a protective case?

Well I do agree that it sucks severely but if it's stated somewhere you can only really be mad at yourself. Trust me I've not fully understood or read things before with companies & cost myself extra cash, it sucks but if it's written somewhere your kinda stuck. Just check out online for one, it's your best bet. What kind of phone is it?

they should at least carry what they took. I would pay for a new one. they don't have any. they should reward me for showing a fault in their service system. not ignore me.

*If* this story is accurate, it would be kind of petty if Koodo refused to return the back cover. Sounds like it was an honest mistake,

Hi Ron,

I appreciate you being upset... I'd hang in tight until a Koodo representative chimes in :) We're all fellow customers but it's Koodo (or any of their employees) who would be able to tell you what they can do for you. Not sure they CAN but at least then you'll know!

What phone is it, Ron? I'm surprised they'd send you back your phone without the original battery cover, doesn't make sense to me to be honest... but I have never sent in a phone for repair (lucky me I know) so I wouldn't really know!

Hmm Koodo really didn't do anything wrong here. The instructions did say to keep your battery and back door and just send in the phone. But you can try and see. In the meantime I highly recommend trying eBay to find the missing back door.

They didn't TAKE it, you SENT it to them. When you send in the phone, it goes to a service centre. Once it is received, the replacement is sent out from a warehouse in a different part of the country. The person who received the part they told you not to send them and the person who ships out replacement phones have likely never met. Please stop ranting about how Koodo is a lousy company because they do not have a quick way to fix YOUR mistake.

I may not be labelled as an employee but most of you should know my status lol.

Ron, I understand why you are upset about what has happened but Koodo, as far as I know, has never sold just the back covers from the phones. I see how many times you post the responses, let's try to keep that minimal or edit the posts to include the other details as it could generate confusion as to what post to repsond to.

I am not going to be pointing fingers here but I know the issue is not something Koodo would do. There is paperwork involved when send the defective phone back and in such paperwork, it does advise the customers how to send it back. Blaming Koodo for this is not the right way to go. Timo is correct in stating that Koodo did not "take" the back of the phone. Koodo only accepted the phone that was sent in the condition is was sent in. If this was set up and a "delayed exchange" you will get your phone back after a certain period of time.

It has been suggested to you options to get the back cover for the phone. Koodo, most likely, will not fix this mistake as no mistake was made. Nothing was taken, nothing was stolen. No need to give Koodo a chance to fix anything as nothing was done that needs fixing. Have I missed anything?

Excuse me?? That was totally uncalled for. Not once did I place any blame on you for the situation at hand and you have the audacity to call me a simpleton? Did you even READ what I put or did you just skim through it and took nothing from it?

I'll repeat my previous post in five words....THEY DID NOT TAKE IT

You are the one who sent it with the back when there were instructions that told you not to do so. MY previous post is void at this point because I now know the root of the issue.

If this is how you conduct yourself when people are trying to help you, I honestly have no words to describe it.

All the same, I hope you find the answer you are looking for or at least a back for your phone.

It's great news that they are looking into this Ron, I'm sure they appreciate you brought it to their attention. I'm convinced they will try to work with you to bring this to a satisfying conclusion.

To me, it really seems like all that can be said publicly, has been said now. So to prevent a potential flame war in this forum, may I suggest you let it rest here now and communicate with them directly :)

As mentioned before, none of us here can help you with your particular plea, only Koodo can - so the only thing left in these public forums would be to argue back and forth and I'm sure THAT would certainly not make you happier :D
