Hello,
I have a koodo phone (htc one v) but I am no longer using it with a koodo plan because I am in Germany. I would like to put a German sim card into my phone to use here, but the phone is sim locked. What can I do?
Thank

If you no longer have an account with Koodo you'll have to get it unlocked via 3rd party service.

http://www.gsmliberty.net/shop/

or

http://cellunlocker.net/

Those are the two sites you can use that are commonly mentioned in this community.

I still have my account with koodo. Is it better to pay $50 dollars for koodo to unlock it or to have it unlocked via a 3rd party? are 3rd unlockers reliable?

The two that I mentioned are reliable. they are the most common, if not only, sites mentioned in the community. It is up to you how you get your phone unlocked. Not too sure of the pricing on the sites, though.

Doesn't hurt to ask for the pricing fromt he 3rd party sites listed. But to eliminate any unlocking issues it's best to get Koodo to unlock your phone at $50 if you're weary on a decision.

It will give you a quote before you proceed for the payment options.

I'm now in Spain and I need to unlock my S3 but the 2 site above does not promise me anything because there is a bug with OS 4.3.

I have found http://www.unlockcode4u.com and they are telling me that there are 50% chances of unlocking it as it is, otherwise I will have to downgrade my OS to a previous version.

Anyone knows anything about this issue on Android 4.3? and if you had it, how did you solve it?

thanks

If you're still a Koodo customer, you can have Koodo unlock the phone for you, even if you're in Spain.
