Yes Joanne, you must settle any responsibilities with any other carrier, especially if it is with Telus. The reason is because once your account is given to collections it will affect your credit and will flag you.

However, you can try our prepaid plans, which includes rollover add ons.

You can go ahead and try to get approved for a post paid account even with not perfect credit ppl have been accepted, you'll usually be put on a spending limit and could be limited to one line on the accounts. With Koodo's great deals on service it's definitely worth a try and if you get approved great, if you don't then nothing lost right.

It really depends on your Credit, so the only way to know is by giving it a try... If your unpaid bill hasn't been referred to collections, there is a chance that you can be approved, there is no guarantee though...

I agree with Paul & Camilo. I say give it a try first before cancelling with your other provider just in case. You never know what the limit is for koodo regarding credit worthiness. And you credit might be better than you expect, especially if it is only 1 unpaid bill

It's all been said really, but all I wanted to add is you made my day with the title of your thread, Joanne! :D
