I think you should get those wonder koodo employees some stools or chairs. They work too hard to be standing all day!

employees should also be (or appear to be) unbias towards different phones. was not a good experience buying my z10 from a great koodo employee while a second hung around continually talking about how much this phone sucks and how she could not get paid enough to use a blackberry...when she obviously knew nothing about the phone!

Thanks for your feedback Dan! Would you mind sharing the location of the Koodo Shop, so we can share your experience with them?

She obviously knows nothing about phones because the Z10 & the new BB10 OS are both extremely well built and thought out (most of the device design anyways) & I really wish more ppl would take the chance to learn about it and use it instead of just badmouthing it because of the old blackberry OS.

Almost got a refurb Z10 when Koodo had them for $350, just to try BB out (the only platform I have never used). But now that they've had the great idea to raise the refurb price to $500, this plan of mine will have to take a hike. Thanks Koodo!

I've picked them up for as low as $350 on Kijiji. Their resale value is worse than Windows Phone.

It's been requested by some of us to get a professional masseuse in the centre I work in. No, not the "special" kind. Just someone to walk around and give good shoulder rubs for those that are pretty stressed out. I'll admit, it was sort of a sarcastic request so maybe it wasn't taken seriously lol

Great post Dan! I used to be an Android enthusiast (I use an HTC One as my personal phone) and to an extent I still am, but now I consider myself more of a diplomatic sort because I sell every carrier so I need to be in tune with all the new devices and OSs on the market... they all have merits and all do certain things well. It all depends on the customer and what's important to you. I'm sorry if this goes off-topic but here's some thoughts:

BlackBerry has always been more business-oriented but since 10 OS came around, media/sharing has gotten better too. Their email service is great, the Hub is awesome for productivity and social media alike, reception is usually stronger thanks to the tranceivers, and battery life is better than Android or iOS. It's a clean and refined interface. The Q5 is a fantastic mid-range device that people have been asking for and I'm really excited to start selling it.

Android is a jack of all trades. The high end models, in particular, have the best specs in the business and generally push bigger, better screens. Some are good at music, some focus on the camera, and so on, but the OS itself does everything and then some. They're the most customizable phones. If there's something you don't like on the phone or want something in a different position, there's probably a way of changing it. If you're unsure about which OS you're going for and want something that will do almost anything you want it to down the road, Android is the way to go.

iOS is... straighforward but refined. It has the biggest app selection/performance and they're heavily optimized for the hardware. Simple, clean, and runs well. It won't let you do as many things as Android, it won't have the security or email service that Blackberries provide, but their hardware is well crafted and it gels well with other Apple products.

Windows Phone is sadly underrated. Big and bright icons/interface make it simple to use, it's very efficient (doesn't need big quad-core processors to be "smooth"), comes with a full Microsoft Office suite out of the box, and even offline GPS, which is awesome. App selection is a bit lacking, but if you want something geared more for productivity, this rivals Blackberry in how well it does thanks to the great People app (all conversations with a contact via FB, texts, etc. come througg in one convo thread in the app). Also some of the best battery life I've seen in a smartphone! One of my guys at work got the Ativ S last week. He activated it and then watched some Netflix, texted, made some phone calls, kept data running all day, read some emails, and so on... it lasted 3 DAYS. That's outrageous. My One barely lasts 24 hours, and if that's if I'm nice to it.

I couldn't get more than 12 hours on my One. Or more than 24 on any of my WP devices.

But then again, it's not like I put them down much.
