Koodo Birthdate Error

I was at London Drugs trying to activate a new Koodo account. I am 26 years old and the birthdate was input correctly. Every attempt at submitting the information would result in the prompt that I was underage. I did not receive my phone and activate my account because of this errors. Why is this happening and what can I do to correct this?

When London Drugs was setting up your account, were they not able to correct this when trying to sign you up?
Couldnt they cancel the application and re-submit? Unless, are you an existing customer with an existing account?

Is this a prepaid account or a monthly postpaid?

I would try to go to a koodo kiosk instead of London Drugs if they were not able to help you. The kiosk reps are much more knowlegable

If you can go back to London Drugs store to let them call their support channel, your problem could be resolved

The Tech rep did phone the support channel. Whoever was on the other end of the line had the same issue where it was claiming I was underage for some reason. The application was exited and re-submitted. The account was going to be a $25 monthly, but we never got that far in the process. If the London Drugs computer and the support computer both had the same issue, do you think that a Kiosk would be any different? As far as whether I have an account or not, I don't. I am currently using Telus pay and talk, but I want to change. The salesman and support man seemed to think that somewhere in my credit rating was a wrongly submitted birth date. The only other thing I can think of is if the birth date in my telus account is wrong.

Hmm... If it was a credit rating issue tied to an icorrect birth date I would also contact Equifax and TransUnion to check in addition to checking with Telus and even you bank to be on the safe side

I just got Equifax to send a copy of my credit rating but I probably won't get it for a week or two. In the mean time I will phone up Telus, and my bank to make sure that my information is correct. Still hoping for a quick fix to the problem, though. Going through all this hassle is frustrating when you have clear proof that you are the age you say you are.
One other thing that might be an issue is that the Telus account was under my mother's name. I don't know why it would give the underage message given that she is far older than I, but perhaps it is causing some conflict.

I understand your frustration and am glad that you could find what's going on with your DOB, in regard with Telus, do not call them if you didn't have an account open with them.

I'd suggest just going into a KOODO SHOP. They know more about what they are doing then london drugs... I know we have had a ridiculous amount of issues with 3rd party retailers - especially london drugs.
The reps will try and activate you with the PROPER age. If it wont let you activate because you are underage, then the london drugs rep was entering the wrong date...

I might end up doing that, but I did look at the screen and am positive that the correct date was being entered.
