Koodo Wireless Home Phone First Bill Does Not Have Promotional Pricing

Hi,

I signed up for the Wireless Home Phone service on September 7th and ported over my land line number. This was done at a Koodo Shop. The pricing was supposed to be $5 per month for 12 months, and $20 per month thereafter. 

The first bill/invoice on the self serve website does not show the discounted pricing. That is, the first week partial charge and the full next month charge are billed at $20, shown below:

Partial charges
$25 100 Local Plan (Sep 06 To Sep 13) $6.67
$25 100 Local Plan (Sep 07 To Sep 13) - $5.83

$20 Wireless Home Phone UL (Sep 07 To Sep 13) $4.67
Total partial charges .................................................................................. $5.51

Monthly and other charges (Sep 14 to Oct 13)
$20 Wireless Home Phone UL $20.00
Rate Plan Change-CR - $10.00
Rate Plan Change $10.00
Total monthly and other charges ............................................................. $20.00

In addition, there are 2 other superfluous charges and credits about a '$25 100 Local Plan ' and a 'Rate Plan Change' on the bill. I do not know what either of these are. The charge and credit of the 'Rate Plan Change' cancels itself out, but the other one does not.

I'm trying to look at your account. Would you mind sharing the name that it is under? If that's not something you prefer, pls send us a private message on our Facebook page. 

The "superflous charges and credits" you could ignore. It seems that was an error on one of our reps side. There should a $15 credit applied to the account, to bring it down to $5 but that's what I want to look into.

I have the same problem.  I signed up for the 5 dollar home phone package a few months ago and my bill is now 20 dollars per month.  What's going on?

Your discount is on Dan. You have 4 lines so makes sure you look at the one co-relating with the home phone. Here is what's on your bill:

Robert, I would suggest messaging Koodo on facebook to get this issue resolved. There you can talk to a Koodo rep directly.

The discount is indeed there Robert. The details are on page 4 of your latest bill - see screen grab from your bill below. The credit gets applied to your first full month, and continues for 12 months in total, after which it goes back to the regular rate of $20/mth. The partial charge you see is for the days your line was active until the first full month begins (Jan. 28 - Feb. 17). Since you're not billed for a full month, the pro-ration is calculated at the regular rate, to ensure you get 12 full months of the discounted rate once your full billing period begins.

Robert, I wonder if you could help us.....just curious, what could we have done differently to avoid you the pain to think you haven't gotten the discount? Is it where the discount shows up vs. where you were expecting it? Is it how well or not it is highlighted? Is it something else? Thanks in advance!
