Koodo owes some money to me but they don't pay

Koodo owes some money to me after I disconnected with them, but they haven't sent me the cheque yet and they don't answer the phone calls. I have been waiting on line for more than 1 hour each time I called but no response. There is absolutely no respect for customers.

Hi Elham,

How much money did Koodo owe you, and how did they owe you this money? Do note that there are no refunds whatsoever for prepaid accounts that are cancelled.

If you cancelled your account:
It can take some time (More than 6 weeks) before Koodo mails you your cheque to the address that was listed on your account. Do note that I don't believe Koodo will mail a cheque for any value less then 5$.

Hi Mathieu, As you know the amount that we pay is prepaid, so I made a payment for 1 month and then decided to cancel the account. I phoned them and notified when I switched the number to Wind (freedom) and asked them to deactivate my account. They owe me 17.00 dollars for the days I haven 't used the service and it's more than a year now. I phoned once, they asked me to provide an address. I provided my address and never received any cheques, I haven't been able to talk to any agents on the phone. They basically keep you waiting longer than 40 minutes so that you disconnect. I am a student and work so I don't have time to phone everyday and request them to send me the cheque. They basically keep you waiting on line so that you change your mind and never call back. It's a fraud and I'm going to discuss it with a community legal office to file it.

As Mathieu said, there are no refunds for prepaid, so right from there you won't be getting a refund, and the rep that said you should was then mistaken.

I don't think that you'd get anywhere with legal options nor is it worth your time over 17 dollars. It definitely sucks but I'd consider cutting your losses at this point. Also, that's not the reason there's long wait times, although I suppose that would be a side effect that could be beneficial, depending on how cynical you are.

have $44.20 owing me on an old account which I have tried getting from Koodo. I was told to contact Metro Credit, but as the bill was paid, it was never dealt with by Metro Credit (I was out of the country). As a result there was an overpayment by me. After 2 solid years of never missing a payment! I have tried 3 times (again) today to speak to Koodo about my credit which was to have been sent to me in May 2017. I keep going around in circles, my name, my address, my pin number; I tried explaining to a customer service rep, Luu, then an Andrew, and now an Ari, who is a Payment Manager, but could not understand him and he had a lot of frequency, so it took me 5 tries just to get his name!!! Frustrated to no end!!!! Acct # 028120031

If you wish to discuss further please do as Timo and Jru suggested. Otherwise if you just want to speak with customer support and are having a hard time understanding and such, you can always send a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter. You will need to wait a fe hours to get a response but you will get one and it be handled.

I have $44.20 owing me on an old account which I have tried getting from Koodo. Ju Gordon why not? Its part of the Koodo Community Forum. You would do well to help me instead of being so negative ... seems to be typical of Koodo, not helping your customers!!!!!!!!

Because this was a separate issue about a PREPAID account that was answered 9 months ago. Also, unless a person here has "Employee" next to their name, nobody here works for Koodo - we're all customers. What you've posted is not a follow-up to the original question nor does it provide any new information pertaining to it. In this case, posting your issue to an old thread only makes it less likely that your problem will be seen by anyone who can deal with it.
Nobody said not to post your question. Just create a new thread for it.
