Wow i was told by koodo customer service it would be based on votes so if samsung wins thats what koodo will get now if thats the case ill leave koodo sick of the samsung line up need more choice!!

Koodo has announced the M9 so they will indeed be getting it, Koodo doesnt announce devices unless they're sure they're getting them. Don't know why customer service told you its between the S6 and M9 and they'll carry whichever one gets more votes, that's just baffling someone said that SMH.

ok, so the last time an HTC ONE (M8) phone came out I was stoked, but by the time I could get it, it was gone, less than a year. This one needs to be around for more than a year!

I agree it has to be available longer but more than a year I wouldn't expect. I'd say it should stay at least until Christmas.
If you want it though start saving as you know it's coming and in a month or two grab it to avoid being disappointed again.... With the tab it's always possible to get the phone you want within 2 or 3 months or so if you really want it.

The only way I'm getting this phone is if they have the silver one.

Yeah I know, for some odd reason whoever picks the colors to offer at Koodo loves dull boring things. 1 out of every 20 or so people I've seen mention color of the M9 across the Web have specified that they want the gun metal grey so that leaves 19 of those 20 people that want the silver and gold but nobody ever believes me. I mean look at this thread alone, everyone here mentions wanting the silver and gold but they still think black and other bland colors are what most people want i just don't get it.

So is the launch still on for the 4th week of March (like Paul said above) or is it true it has been pushed back to April 10th?

The software issues are all fixed and the M9 is running great according to Phil Nickinson from Android Central who has been testing the device for their review. There's no hard launch date, it's basically whenever each carrier receives their shipment of M9's from HTC that they'll go on sale. So carriers will launch the phone on different dates.

On what grounds? They wouldn't say it's just not happening. There must be a reason.

Anyway, I've just received official word from Jordan Stevens that Koodo is most certainly getting the HTC One M9. No games, so stick around Elvira. As Paul mentions, there's no specific launch date, as soon as they get them, they'll go on sale.

Nope. This phone was discontinued about a month after it released due to poor sales and a rather uninspiring upgrade from the HTC M8. The HTC 10 is a great return to form, though!
