Koodo never charged me for cancelling, now I have a blemish on my credit report.

I'm a very happy Koodo customer, up until two months ago I had two accounts. I no longer had a need for two accounts and closed one of them down. I have a negative (owing) Tab balance with Koodo so they confirmed with me it would be charged to my card.

I have never seen it on my statement ($300 worth), and today while I was checking my Equifax, I noticed one payment being 30 days late.

What can I do to get this resolved? Is there any way I can pay Koodo and have them rescind the credit report they have made?

EDIT: The credit card it was tied to was never at risk for reaching its credit limit, and Koodo has successfully charged to that card in the past for charges related to the now-closed account.

Unless you had pre-authorized pyments set up before you cancelled your account, it's impossible for your card to have been charged and I dont believe a rep told you it would automatically charge your card if there wasn't one attached to the account. Was there a credit card attached to the account for pre-authorized payments?

The chances of Koodo doing what you're requesting is very slim. You still have a responsibility to make sure it was paid which could have easily been verified by checking your visa charges frequently. One late payment isn't going to effect your credit that much
