Wondering if this is another email fraud using Koodo name. I received an email showing my first name and last 4 digits of my phone number, that said my Prepaid Account was out of money and needed topping up or I'd lose my phone service by a certain date. I'm registered for automatic top-ups, and when I logged in to the website all is fine. No problems with the cc or anything. Anyone else get this message?

Sounds legit to me, Trish... it seems a few prepaid users have been getting similar emails. Apparently it's a mistake on Koodo's side.

However best general practise is, if you receive an email about any service, NEVER click a link inside that email. Visit the prepaid self service by manually entering the address (the correct address is https://prepaidselfserve.koodomobile.com/) then log in and check your balance.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing to worry about though :)

The whole prepaid customer communications interface needs a complete overhaul.

I can only imagine the number of needless calls the 611 center must have to put up with when folks are inaccurately told they are about to be cut off. All the pious pronouncements of trying to improve customer service go down the drain with a few dumbo miscommunications.

Not surprised in the upspike in complaints in our community about waiting time on 611. All necessarily due to new customer love-in?
