Hello to all Koodo representatives,

It's getting annoying and doesn't make any sense.

I'm existing customer at Koodo, and of course I'm waiting for special offers, but in fact it turns out that they support only new customer giving them bonus 2Gb and so on, when I come to a  store every representative says the same, try to have a look on Black Friday deals, or Christmas ones, but in the fact, there are the same deals with 2Gb extra Data for new customers on 2 years or I should upgrade my phone what I don't want to do at all because I like mine.

In addition, you deleted mobile App from Apple Store, saying that no-one uses this app, and all people prefer use website. Are you serious? In 21st century you don't have your own app and your website is done by cheap labour - students or whoever, that have bugs errors or even some time it's unreachable. Also I had problem, that I could not pay for Koodo with international credit card, because it's not Canadian (this also killed me).

Honestly, I like you coverage and the mobile network signal quality, but everything said above  really annoys me.

I see the only one way is to transfer my plan to fido, and I'll get 3Gb for $45 that's not bad or you can offer me something specific.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Evgeny Arkhipov

I'm not aware of any Canadian carriers that allow non Canadian credit cards but I might be mistaken.

I too would have preferred to have the app stay but the website has been optimized for mobile use. Koodo has said most times people used the App to check data usage but with shock free data plans people have increasingly had less reason to use the App. I haven't had any issues with the site except yesterday because of black Friday.

Koodo is actually one of the less worse ones in Canada for deals not being restricted to new activations only. A lot are made available to people if they get a new phone. But deals are mostly to entice people to come. Last year Boxing Day had the best plan deals so there might be something then this year.

That is a great deal by Fido. You can contact Koodo if they'll match it and if not then I guess port over. It's far superior to anything Koodo has.

Just so you know that deal for $45 with Fido is $45 for 12 months and then it goes up to $55.
As well, Koodo had double data on plans around the end of summer which was availabke for existing customers so they do thankfully come out with deals for us sometimes!

Hello Allan,

I know that, but that will be cheaper on $10 per 12 months ($120 in summary) than the same option with Koodo. Isn't it?

Anyway, thank you for clarification.

Regards,
Evgeny

Yeah, and in addition, for two of us we can save 2*120 = $240 per that year, I think it's not bad.

Existing customers can get 2Gb extra Data if you switch your plan to one of in market plan $55 and over.   Do you really think it's a good deal?  I woudn't want to be a new customer with those plan. Also, bonus 2GB will be gone after 2 years.  Those promo is not real promo/deal for me.

If you contact Koodo , you should be able to request registering your  international credit card AFAIK.

You can move to fido if you think it's better for you, but you might want to check this post first.

Yes, if you are an existing customer, then you need to upgrade your phone and switch to a new plan($55 and over) to get 2GB.

Add:  Was your girlfriend a new customer or existing customer?  If she is existing customer, what plan she had before?

She is a completely new customer, but I'm the owner of her phone number, I have two of them right now old one and new one. When I try to change my current plan on old number that I'm using, I don't see any messages that I'll get extra 2Gb of data.

Nope, she is not.

We just came to store, I said, I saw the new plans on your website, can I change my old plan to the new one and I want to create the new number for my girlfriend, attached to my existing account at Koodo, as for me they said only in case you will upgrade the phone, you will get this new plan, as for my girlfriend, she got the new plan, because we purchased the SIM card, and it looked like you are the new customer for Koodo, because you sign the new contract for new number, despite that fact that her new phone number was attached to my account that already exists.

That's right because even a line addition is still a new activations.
