Koodo did not transfer my phone number correcly. Now I payed 20$ for nothing and the guy in technical service said that it's my phone is not compatible with

hspa
wcdma

gsm

I know for a fact it is because I have a nexus s...it should work fine...for my first experience with koodo im very disappointed I might just stay with videotron instead of dealing with this bs

How/where did you go to transfer your number? Did you do it at a Koodo store? On self serve? The more the details the better we can try to help-:)

Check if your phone is compatible here : http://help.koodomobile.com/getting-s...

If the tech guy said the phone isn't supported, then there are high chances that is isn't

You should never give your IEMI out lout like this becasue it is private information. Is your phone unlocked?

You can not edit your comment. Someone with this power will do it for you. If it is unlocked then you should request a number transfer either in store (FREE) or by phone (25$) with an account already active.

PS : I don't knwo why you got charged 20$ since it 25

Hey Joe,

I deleted some of your previous comments, please refrain from posting personal information and using a certain language as our community is open to people of all ages.

Some phones from Videotron may not work on our network as Videotron's network (AWS) is different from ours (click here: http://koo.do/1lkHsW7).

According to the user guide of the Nexus S from Videotron, it seems that the phone is not compatible with our frequency bands http://support.videotron.com/business...

Thank you!

Hey Joe.

Calm down. I'm a normal customer like you and I have no idea who you've been dealing with. You can always send a complaint via this link if something was wrong with the service you've been offered ( https://secure.koodomobile.com/accoun...)

Also, the phone number transfer may take some time. It does not happen instantly. Plus, you need to termiante your Videotron service yourself once the phone number has been succesfully transfered to Koodo.

Read this post too : http://community.koodomobile.com/kood...

With this being said, if it still doesn't work tomorrow, give them a call something mogiht've went wrong

The phone number transfer can take same time, ,very accurate statement. You DO NOT need to and DO NOT terminate services with Videotron, it needs to be open and active. You cannot port in an inactive number, it will not work!! Once the transfer is complete, it automatically cancels videotron's service. I'd go back to Atwater

Oh well, I didn't know the service will terminate itself when the number is ported. My bad.

Also here's some more info for number transfer : http://community.koodomobile.com/kood...

You will receive a SMS when everything's complete.
