I bought an unlocked LG G3 and put my old sim card in from Nexus 5. All of sudden data doesn't work. The data use is on. I rebooted the phone. No change. Any ideas?

I have downloaded Tweakker and followed the instruction. It seems to be working. However I don't see the regular LTE sign on the top bar. Instead "H" with up and down arrows next to it. It keeps blinking. Is it supposed to be like this?

Your data is functioning, depending on the network you're using you may or may not see LTE, 4G, H, H+, 3G

But if you do see any of that, your Data is working.

You won't always see LTE, sometimes you will only see the H depending on the area you are in. You can always reset the APN's if you think the data might not be working properly. I had to do this with my Nexus 4.

Yes it seems I can't get LTE to work on my D855 either, I wonder if it will ever work, maybe when they "Telus/Bell" put some 700mhz Range emitters up or 2100mhz ones, not sure.

Phone compatibility

Go to www.gsmarena.com. Check your exact model of phone and you will see what frequencies the phone supports.

Caution: there are often different models produced for NorthAmerica, Europe and the far East. Android phones often have a sticker behind the battery.

Employee reply, translated from his post on the French side:

http://communaute.koodomobile.com/koo...

Phones that are uniquely GSM (2G) or CDMA will not work on Koodo's network.

Koodo supports the following frequencies: 3G/HSPA 850/1900 and 4G/LTE 1700/2100MHz.

If your phone supports these bands, it should work provided it's unlocked. Your main concern is the 850/1900 3G for voice and some data. There are many satisfactory phones in use that don't support 4G/LTE.

The Koodo IMEI tool is NOT reliable indicator. Only weeds out stolen and some ineligible phones.

I am pretty sure the 700mhz will make it work, I can see LTE on Bell & Rogers (I believe that's because Bell already rolled out their 700 mhz in Toronto), so now just patiently waiting for TELUS to roll it out.

Yes I live up North in Sudbury, I don't think they have 700mhz here yet I heard they deployed it down in Toronto, and yes rogers LTE runs on 2100and 2600mhz, Bob My phone does not support 1700mhz, but does have 2100mhz, but I still do not connect to LTE, I'm wondering if the towers here support 2100mhz, I'm guessing they don't because Du lives in Toronto, where I'm sure they have better towers than here and still does not get LTE via Koodo

btw Yesterday I did get LTE on my LG D855 in a specific area in Toronto, so I am guessing Telus is testing it and when they do roll the new spectrum out, our LTE should work!

Hey Cody,

Is your LG bought from Koodo? Have you tried rebooting it to see if it helps?
