Please Koodo bring back your app.. All carriers have one .. even prepaid.. Its nicer to use than running a browser.. Its also easier for me as a person with a disability.

What do you want the app for that the mobile version of self serve can't do?

Koodo will not be bringing back the app. The site is optimized for mobile use. If i may ask what specifically about your disability makes it harder to use a Web page than an app?

When I'm on the self serve part of the site it's exactly the same as the desktop version. How do I get the mobile version

Don't see a mobile option anywhere there. And according to my chrome browser, I am on the mobile version. Cause I click go to desktop version and it's the same thing.

Prepaid is the neglected sibling in the koodo family. I don't think they ever even had an app before

@Dennis: I think someone said "if it doesn't break, don't fix it" :))

By the way, which carrier in Canada is having an app for prepaid?

Yes.  That is for all software updates.  Dont update if it's not broken

I would like an app too. Enjoyed Rogers app, easier to navigate than a webpage, better features and easier to find like my usage etc

The selfserve app has been modified for mobile browsing, it has all the features of Koodo (opposed to an app which would leave things out), and the area to view your usage is available with one click after logging in!

If you bookmarked it and added it to your homescreen, it feels like an app

Rather have the option to use PayPal, Google Pay, or Apple Pay to make payments. That would be pretty cool.

All of those things link to your credit card though. Just an unecessary extra step in my opinion.

True, but it's more secure, and can decrease transaction processing (glitches, errors, etc) as long as you have verified your info with their services such as PayPal/Apple Pay. Also, it's much more broad, you can pay with your credit/debit, contentiously switch between with every transaction. PayPal is not only encrypted like Apple Pay, but supports 2FA which most Canadian banks do not.

You can always put it here in the forum as an idea and see if Koodo is open to it.

Maybe once every customer accepts that paper bills are all gone

For anyone on Android, you can use an app called Hermit Lite to create an app that wraps the mobile site (and any others you may like).  I wrote up a guide a while back on how to app-ify the Public Mobile self-serve site and community--the process is the same but just different URLs:

https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Phones-Hardware/Very-Partial-workaround-for-lack-of-P...

I have since used it to wrap Koodo self serve and community (though admittedly I usually just browse the community on my laptop).

Here's how the self-serve account looks:

And the community:

And here you can see them in my "recents"/multi-tasking window, showing up as independent apps like the others visible in the background (WhatsApp and BBM, in this case, though I have more back there too ;) ):

So, it looks and feel like a regular app, really.
