The phone doesn't have anything to do with who your service provider is. If you're using an active Koodo SIM card, then your service is with Koodo.

An iPhone from Telus will work with a Koodo SIM card without needing to be unlocked.
but the iPhone from telus as a 2 year agreement so do I have that to year agreement with telus or koodo??

You can pay out your remaining phone subsidy to Telus and move to Koodo, or you could purchase the phone outright from Telus and have no subsidy to worry about, or you can pay for service at both Telus and Koodo to get the subsidized phone. There is no way to get a subsidized phone from one carrier and transfer that subsidy to another; you have to pay the piper somewhere.
