Recent updates to my Samsung Galaxy S3 have removed the "Keyboard Swipe" feature that allowed you to swipe between symbols and letters from the Samsung keyboard settings. Any way to get this back?

Goto the play market and grab swiftkey or swype, both offer these features. I prefer swiftkey

It was previously on my phone. Not sure why it is suddenly gone? Strange thing is my wife has the S2 LTE and she has the option for this. We are both on Koodo and both phones show android 4.1.2. I just got the phone about a week ago and I had that option on it originally and I haven't deleted anything.

There was an update that started rolling out for the Galaxy S3 from Koodo yesterday so you might have to turn it on again if your phone updated the OS, it shouldn't but you may.

With the keyboard up press and hold the microphone icon on it till a menu pops up, then select the settings cog icon.
There will then in the settings that pop up be an option that says continuous input make sure that's checked and it will give you the swipe typing style.

Star the answer that helps please as it helps others with the same issue find the answer. Thanks.

Its not the continuous typing that I want. There was another option called "Keyboard Swipe" and it is missing. It let you swipe across the keyboard to flip between symbols and the qwerty keyboard.

The problem is the "Keyboard Swipe" feature has been removed from the keyboard settings for what seems to be no reason. It used to be right below the continuous input setting. I have also tried turning to phone off and on again several times.

Download swype. I personally prefer swype over swiftkey because I prefer swiping over typing.

Swiftkey has swype and is a ton better than swype.

Never noticed that before but ya its nowhere I can see since the phone was updated the day or 2 before you originally posted this. Looks like they took it out for whatever reason, possibly due to the issues ppl were having with 3rd party keyboard apps switching back to the default Samsung keyboard.

Weird. It was a nice little feature. Is there anywhere I can view an update schedule or some release notes?
