If I want to switch from Rogers to Koodo and keep my phone number, do I have to go to a store or can I call customer service?

You need a compatible phone and a Koodo sim. Once you have those it's up to you whether you activate at the store or over the phone.

So, order the phones online, then call in? Or call in then order the phones?

Order, then call to activate when you receive the phone.

Also, I need 3 phones - so 3 separate online orders, how do I get everything onto 1 account?

If you need that many at once I'd honestly recommend going to a kiosk. The webstore isn't really setup to order more than one phone at a time. I don't think you can add a second line to an account until the account is activated, which you can't do until you get the phone.

Also, once you go in store make sure you provide your # and account # with Rogers. This is so the store can input a port request so Koodo can take your #. Keep in mind the line has to stay active with Rogers in order for Koodo to take it. Also if you're still in a contract with Rogers they will be bill you out if you're still in contract.

The only kiosk sort of close to me is a loblaws store - will they be able to handle that? Sort of figured they wouldn't be much help. Rogers account term is up & account still active.

We'll gladly take care of you, no problem. We'll even pull up your Rogers account to get your account number to port your #s over.

The Mobile Shop should be able to help you out no problem. If they're the only koodo retailer around though, you should consider their extended coverage plan, which allows them to deal with warranty repairs rather than requiring you to travel to a koodo kiosk or mail your phone away.
