Is there anyone using KakaoTalk to send/receive Texts/Pictures?
http://www.kakao.com/talk/en

Just wondering If you can send(upload) pictures on 4G/LTE? Not on WIFI.
I've been tried many times to send a picture(s) but unsuccessful with "Cannot connect to the server, try again later" BUT everything works fine on WIFI.
just not working when I upload/send a picture(s)only. works fine sending/receiving texts.
I 've contacted KakaoTalk in Korea they said it might be blocked by mobile provider(Koodo).
I have no clue....anyone???
Thanks.

Unfortunately you must have a network data connection to send picture messages. If data is off on your phone or blocked by koodo on your account you won't be able to send

yes. I have a Canada wide Data double 60 and it's always on. How can I unblock it by Koodo? Thanks.

Someone delete my reply to Chad. Have a Canada wide data 60 and data is always on. If Koodo blocks it,I don't know why. It should be opened as others.
Thanks.

Koodo would block it on your request. Easy Way to tell is turn wifi off and attempt to access any website other than Google. If you get a page unavailable message then your data isn't working.

Thanks Chad.
Turn Wifi off and my Data works perfectly...It connects to LTE/4g.
I can go anywhere but the problem is sending a picture(s) on KakaoTalk.
I never asked Koodo to block data.
I'm just with Koodo over 2 months now.
Thanks.

BTW. my reply to you shows up again.

hi happy, I noticed that the forum software is acting a bit strange today, nobody would have deleted your pleasant comments :)

Hi Chad,
Galaxy S3 cannot set to 3G I guess. If I set to WCDMA only it connects to 4G that shows on screen.

Ok so sorry I just checked out kakao talk. I'm wrong. This is similar to Whatsapp. I doubt it has anything to do with koodo. Please also disregard my other answers as they don't apply. Could it be that Korea blocks some aspects of the net like pictures? Have you tried Whatsapp?

I've had the same issue, cannot send photos in kakaotalk while on data (no wifi, 3g/4g).

To fix it, go into your APN settings, and delete Proxy/Port part. Leave it blank

only have an entry for
APN -------internet settings
M-MSC, MMS proxy, MMS port --------picture messages settings
leave everything else blank

I am having issue trying to grab pics from my album and send. It keeps saying "this app does not have access to your photos or videos" You can enable access in privacy settings.

I don't know where to go. I looked through Settings/ General/ Restrictions and can't go any further.... HELP?
