I have a phone from another country that should just require a sim card to work. Is that something I can easily get from your company or do I need to have one of your phones.

You can order one online or just walk up to a kiosk / future shop / mobile shop and get one.

Also make sure it's unlocked and supports the frequencies that Koodo uses.

Just to add to that don't forget about the BYOD (bring your own device) discount.! A 10% discount will be applied to your monthly bill with post paid activation.

Vicki before you buy a SIM which can be done at a koodo shop or retail partners, make sure that your phone is compatible with the koodo network.

Hi Vicki, you can use this link to verify if your phone is compatible: http://koo.do/L2Efte. We hope to welcome you soon in the Koodo family!

Koodo locations have a Device Compatibility Tool that will determine if it will work on the netowork. Pending this result and that your device is unlocked you can pick up a SIM and have it activated at the store/kiosk! :)

I agree with Jonathan I post.
If your phone is locked means, you will need to unlock it.
For unlocking you an approach your service provider or else try to buy an unlocking service from any one of the online unlocking service provider like http://www.unlock-zone.com/supported-... and you can get free phone unlock instructions from http://www.mobileunlockguide.com/ I hope it will be very useful to you.
