Just moved to a new house in the same town. had all of our phone, internet and cable hooked up. they all work fine. our internet connection is working properly. however, we cannot connect our cellphones to wi-fi. Everything at the previous house has been totally disconnected so there is no lingering signal. We have attepted SEVERAL times to connect using the password and username that our "phone cable internet" guys gave us. It still says that we are not in range. I'm really confused as to why this is. I've tried turning off my phone and then turning it back on. i've turn the wi-fi off and then on again. i've tried every security option there is (WEP, WPA/WPA2 PSK, 802.1xEAP) and still nothing. If anyone can think of something I havent thought of or anything I'm doing wrong please give me a hand. Thanks

Hello Katie.

Maybe it's the password that got reset? Have you tried checking in your internet setting if the password you are writing is the good one? Also, can you connect any other piece of electronic (computer, tablet, etc) to your wireless connection?

Also have you tried no security (no password) option, just to test if it can connect that way?

Can you connect directly to the modem via ethernet and get internet access?

I dont think it is a phone issue but which cell phones are you using to connect with?
