Just registered for seflserve, but can't login. Error: You're still waiting to be approved!

received the sim card an hour ago, tried to setup self serve account, no account number, called in to get it. last step of registration, error: You're still waiting to be approved

Looks like this account has already been linked to another email address. You're still waiting for permission from the owner of that email address. We'll email you once you're approved.

brand new koodo cx. never had another email address. this is not a smooth transaction at all. what should I do? call again?

Hi Tony,

If the account was new but if you tried to create an account before the activation, there can be an error. You would need an account reset. I am not sure if a rep could do over the forum. You could try to contact them through facebook or call again to ask for the reset. As the account was activated, you could use the line, while waiting for a reset.

Dinh is correct Tony. Looks like your account is not yet active - the SIM arrived quicker than the activation was completed. I'll let the team know, who should be able to activate it shortly. Once that's done, you'll receive an email to activate self serve. Please follow the steps in that email once you receive it.

thanks for both of your fast response. just checked the sim in my phone, no signal, I will wait a few hours for that activation email then.

I just received an email, said my koodo email address has been updated to xxx123@gmail.com. I don't even have this email account. how could they update this? plus if they send email to that address. how could I even check or verify.

Sorry Tony - should have provided more context. Since you initiated a profile set up without your account being active, your email address was linked to that profile and would not have worked once your account was activated and you tried to access self serve. So, in order to detach that email address, I 'updated it' with this email - that isn't yours - in order to release your actual email. Long story short - that's all back-end stuff that won't impact you. Once your account is active, you should be able to go ahead and use your correct email to set up your self serve account.

Also - looks like the account is now active, so if you haven't already, you should be receiving the activation email shortly.

I just receiving the activation email. sim card has signal now. but I still get the same error after I put in my email and password

I can login with my phone now, guess the laptop has something with cookies problem.
