Koodo no longer unlocks phones from other carriers, but you can find lots of options on eBay. Just check their customer satisfaction ratings before purchasing the unlock code.

You can also try to unlock it from the carrier that you bought it from if you know someone who's with the same carrier. If not, here the eBay search results

I just purchased the phone, and will be heading out to set up the phone in the morning, but before I did that I thought I'd ask my current provider if I can unlock it a with them..... Amazing how unhelpful public members are, I'll comment on only koodo agaents. Thanks for the time though.

We can only be as helpful as the question is detailed. Now that you have provided more detail, we can give you the answer you want! :)
If you want to unlock your Koodo phone with Koodo you can contact them via facebook, twitter, or any of the methods in the contact us section below. The charge is $50. It would be cheaper to get an unlock code via ebay or somewhere similar like mentioned above though.

The subject has all the information you need. Since the first helpful user was incorrect, the second concerned citizen assumed I knew the current Carrier, meanwhile the third none koodo agent suggested the same thing(and nothing else) as the first! ;-) Please Let Me Know When Agent Replies.
P.S I'm Aware of all the other, much cheaper options.
Thanks & GoodNight

No, it does not have all the info needed. I have no idea why you expect to get help by being rude. We cannot infer this simply by you saying "bought a locked phone" and that you want to use it with Koodo.

Google it. Goodnight.

Google it? How do you think I got here?! But You actually tried to answer the question with just the subject information, so yes it's enough. Are you a Koodo Agent? Otherwise your not helping here as I don't know definitively if I can and/or how much it really it.
Thanks again!
P.S I'll Reply in the morning

Hey Todd,

We want to help you the best we can. Let's discipher your question. In your title, it's mentioned that you purchased an LG G4 and you state that it is asking for a sim code? Various members have suggested that you must get an unlocking code for it to work with Koodo. Are you asking about the sim unlock code? Or sim pin? Because "not a bought a locked phone..." does not really make a lot of sense. Is the G4 purchased from Koodo and are you wanting to unlock it? As mentioned by other members, you can get it unlocked by calling Koodo at 1-866-995-6636 or private messaging Koodo in Facebook. Only they, can unlock your phone, we cannot unlock your phone for you here in the community. There is a cost of $50 for unlocking your phone and it will be added in your next bill.

Hello Todd,
I just purchased the phone, and will be heading out to set up the phone in the morning, but before I did that I thought I'd ask my current provider if I can unlock it a with them
You just purchased the phone : with Koodo? Where did you purchase it?

I thought I'd ask my current provider if I can unlock it a with them
I believe you're going with another provider that is not Koodo?

PS: for other trying to answer his questions, it seems like he wants to transfer from Koodo prepaid to postpaid as he mentions in this thread : https://community.koodomobile.com/koodo/topics/i-got-a-text-message-to-switch-to-a-tab-and-then-got-...
